For their colorful fall wedding at The Doyle in Las Vegas, Jackie and James traveled from Colorado to celebrate with friends and family! I loved every detail of their November wedding – the colors, the music played throughout the day, and the venue kitten that was running around outside during the getting ready process!

Prioritizing Wedding Photography

Photography was important to Jackie and James, so they made a few choices that helped:

They booked my longest package so there would be no feeling of needing to rush through parts of the day.
They added a second shooter to their package for extra photos and different angles.
They kept me in the loop when creating their wedding day timeline in case I had any input from the photography side of things!

The Wedding Day

Nice and early on the day of the wedding all of the ladies got ready together in the bridal suite. Jackie’s mom and sister helped her with her final details like putting on the dress, veil, and her shoes. Then Jackie did a first look with her dad which is always sweet to watch.

When James was suited up, we went outside for their first look! They had a moment together, and then we took a few portraits of them.

The wedding party photos were next, and aren’t their colors perfect for a fall wedding?! I loved all the different tones. Remember, not everything has to match. I feel like matchy-matchy weddings are moving out of the way. Instead allowing each member of the wedding party to show off their style with their outfit choice is becoming more common!

Wedding Ceremony & Reception at The Doyle

Jackie and James enjoyed time alone while guests arrived and got seated for the ceremony. During the ceremony, they did a special “ring warming” ceremony. Each member of their wedding party held the ring for a moment and silently put out their good intentions for Jackie and James before passing the ring to the next person. They kissed, we all cheered, and they nailed the wedding aisle kiss!

Then the party got started! The ceremony room was transformed for the reception. Guests enjoyed cocktail hour outside and got to sip on the fun specialty cocktails the couple chose! Before allowing guests to enter the reception, Jackie and James did a room reveal to get a good look at their reception space. Next, they made their grand entrance and went into their first dance. Then everyone enjoyed dinner and listened to heartwarming toasts given by family and wedding party members.

Before open dancing started, they played the shoe game and we all got to know them better! As the night came to a close, they shared one more private dance. For their exit, they opted for ribbons instead of sparklers, so guests formed a tunnel and waved ribbon wands!

Congrats to Jackie and James!! I had so much fun with these two and their entire group of loved ones! I’ve photographed so many Las Vegas weddings at The Doyle and I love returning to this venue every time!
