Sarah and Eric’s mountain wedding at Lee Canyon Ski Resort was perfect for these two adventurous souls. Though Las Vegas is known for it’s desert landscape, a short drive northwest will lead you to Mt. Charleston where they got married! Their September wedding couldn’t have been at a better time of year because there were actually pops of yellow leaves on the trees! We don’t get much of that around Las Vegas, so it was a nice surprise!

Sarah and Eric met while climbing and still love to climb together! They have two adventure cats that often love to explore with them. Aside from climbing, they love skiing, surfing, and doing acro yoga together! They even did some acro yoga at their engagement session.

We started off Sarah and Eric’s wedding day with their first look and portraits before the ceremony. They wanted to spend as much time as possible with their friends and family after the ceremony, so we made it a priority to get as many photos done before the ceremony as we could. A huge advantage of getting married at a ski resort was getting to use the ski chair lift to go up and down the mountain, and of course for photos too! 

Mountain Wedding At Lee Canyon Ski Resort

Lee Canyon Ski Resort is a mountain wedding venue outside of Las Vegas. A 35-mile drive northwest of Las Vegas will take you into the mountains of Mt. Charleston and to the resort. Lee Canyon is a popular destination for winter activities like skiing and snowboarding. During the summer, people can visit Lee Canyon to hike and ride the mountain bike trails. It’s a nice mountain getaway for Las Vegas locals needing a change of scenery!

Sarah and Eric’s ceremony took place in a beautiful Aspen grove. After the ceremony, guests headed back down to the Bristlecone Bar for cocktail hour and the reception. The Bristlecone has large windows that let in tons of natural light, so it’s a photographer’s dream when it comes to reception spaces. 

After the first dances and toasts, the rest of the night was one big party! Sarah and Eric’s family and friends didn’t hold back on the dance floor. It was so fun to see everyone let loose! 

Sarah and Eric are one of the coolest couples I know. I loved being a part of their wedding day!
