Vintage Vibes at Sure Thing Chapel | Las Vegas Wedding Photographer

You’re not ready for the vintage vibes on this sweet elopement!!! These two are the perfect example of why you never have to worry about feeling “awkward” in front of the camera. They told me before their Sure Thing Chapel elopement that they were both a little camera shy. Um, spoiler alert: once you’re having the best day of your life, surrounded by the people you love, that “awkward” disappears real fast.

From the second they walked into the chapel, you could feel the vibe: fun, casual, and totally them.

The bride wore a simple white dress with the cutest cutout detail, paired with chunky platform heels. She chose the dreamiest veil trimmed with light blue tulle (seriously, this veil deserves its own moment). The groom kept things cool in an all-black look. It was the perfect compliment to the bride! Every single thing about this day was just giving me vintage vibes, and I was here for it.

Sure Thing Chapel has this specific vintage vibes magic about it.

Between the pink velvet curtains, retro heart marquee, and disco ball hanging overhead, it’s pure vintage Vegas charm with just the right amount of kitsch. The ceremony space is surrounded with soft pinks and warm light. Creating the perfect backdrop for laughter, a few happy tears, and one unforgettable “I do.” There’s a reason I’ve shot here so many times as a Las Vegas wedding photographer. I’m so comfortable in this space and love creating here.

After the ceremony, we took full advantage of everything that makes Sure Thing so iconic. Snapping photos in the vintage photo booth, spinning some vinyl on the retro record player, and even sneaking a few fun shots in the pastel pink-and-mint bathroom (a favorite of mine! The perfect pop of color to their gallery).

These two fully embraced the playful laid-back essence of the day, giggling through every moment and proving that being yourselves is what makes your photos come alive.

Outside, we wandered down Fremont Street’s colorful row of neon signs. Past tattoo shops, barber poles, and the chapel’s glowing heart marquee. Every frame felt like a scene straight out of an old-school film reel. Which, honestly, is why I couldn’t resist pulling out the Super 8 camera for this one. The grainy film texture, the movement, the little imperfections… it all fit so perfectly with their energy and the whole retro aesthetic of the day.

If you’re planning a Vegas elopement and worried about “not knowing what to do with your hands” or “feeling awkward,” let these photos be your proof that it’s totally okay.

You don’t need to perform for the camera. You just need to be present, in love, and willing to laugh your way through it. The rest? I’ve got you. I’ve photographed hundreds of couples and I know all the prompts to make you feel comfortable.

Your wedding day doesn’t have to be serious to be meaningful. It can be lighthearted, full of personality, and still absolutely beautiful.

That’s the beauty of eloping somewhere like Sure Thing Chapel, and throwing in some vintage vibes… it gives you permission to throw the rulebook out the window and just have fun with it.
