I met up with Katie and Dustin after their wedding ceremony at the Flamingo! They were going for a very ‘60s style Las Vegas wedding and were inspired by the iconic looks of Bridget Bardot, BeeGees, and Pricilla Presley. They describe themselves as lighthearted and silly, and they wanted a wedding that also felt carefree.
After their wedding ceremony at the Flamingo, Katie and Dustin headed into the garden courtyard to enjoy cupcakes and champagne with their friends and family. Then we headed out for their wedding photos on the Las Vegas Strip. Of course, we took photos by several pink accents at the Flamingo. Then we walked along the Strip to the Bellagio Fountains. We got there right before a fountain show was about to start. Perfect timing!
Next, they met up with their friends and family at the iconic Peppermill Restaurant for a super casual wedding reception dinner. The retro vibe and decor of the Peppermill totally fit the theme of their wedding day!
A lot of couples getting married in Las Vegas are throwing traditional wedding looks out the window, and I love seeing how creative couples get with designing days that are true to them! Katie and Dustin’s day was no exception and I loved being their photographer!
If you’re a lover of the Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas and are curious about what a wedding there looks like, they have several ceremony location options. Their Garden Chapel is inside, but they have four outdoor ceremony options:
Their wedding packages do include ceremony coverage by a hotel photographer, so that’s why I met up with Katie and Dustin after their ceremony. Some resorts do allow you to bring your own photographer, but often it’s with an additional outside vendor fee. You can find more information about weddings at the Flamingo Hotel on their website here.
Navigating the Las Vegas resort photographers is something I have discussions about with my wedding and elopement couples quite often! There are always options to work with!
I’m a local Las Vegas Wedding and Elopement Photographer and I would love to be a part of your dream day! Head to my contact page to get in touch!
If the style of Katie and Dustin’s wedding is right up your alley, you have to check out this wedding at the Sure Thing Chapel!
