Vintage-Inspired Elopement | Las Vegas Wedding Photographer

Some love stories already feel cinematic, and Lucy and Ed’s is one of them. Their vintage-inspired elopement in Vegas was the perfect celebration for the two of them. It felt playful and romantic from the second we met at the iconic Little White Chapel. The warm sun, the bright signs, and their easy chemistry set the tone for a day that felt both nostalgic and wildly fun.

Lucy and Ed first met as coworkers. Lucy recounted their story to me when she inquired, and I immediately knew it was going to be fun to document their wedding.

Being co-workers led to them becoming close friends. And then everything shifted the night Ed said, “I’m sorry for what I’m about to do,” before kissing her. Then he added, “What if I never get to kiss you again?” She quickly leaned in and kissed him again. And the rest is history! Lucy said it’s her favorite story to tell.

Also, when they reached out, and I saw their area code was from my hometown, I knew right away that our paths were meant to cross! It was really cool to be their Las Vegas wedding photographer.

When their vintage-inspired elopement finally rolled around, they looked amazing.

Lucy leaned into the retro charm of the chapel. Her tea-length dress had the sweetest texture and looked timeless against the soft waves of her red hair. The little bow on her heels felt so classic too. As a photographer, I love those details! Ed kept things sharp in a black suit and tie. Together, they looked like they had stepped into an old Vegas postcard.

We began at the chapel in the late afternoon/early evening. The white gates, the heart details, the Tunnel of Love, and the vintage signs all made the perfect backdrop. They’re iconic in every way!

Lucy lifted her bouquet toward the sky in celebration more than once, like she couldn’t help herself bubbling over with joy. And every time she did, Ed smiled at her like he already knew this day would be one they told stories about forever.

They said “I Do” in the chapel, grinning the entire time.

Once they were OFFICIALLY OFFICIAL newlyweds, we wandered outside to the Tunnel of Love. They kissed under the painted ceiling, laughed in front of the pink Cadillac, and walked hand in hand down the sidewalk like two people who were exactly where they belonged.

Vintage-Inspired Elopement was magical in Downtown Vegas

Once the sun dipped, we headed to Fremont Street. The neon lights came alive and gave the second half of their big day a whole new energy. They danced under the signs. They spun and dipped and didn’t hold back. Lucy hopped onto a slot machine just for fun, and Ed couldn’t stop smiling. There was just so. much. joy. in this day.  I loved every second of it.

Every corner downtown felt like a movie scene. The reds, yellows, and bright casino lights gave everything a warm glow. I loved photographing them walking past the El Cortez, laughing in the middle of the street. We wandered and laughed the whole evening. They never stopped leaning into who they are. That is what makes photos feel alive.

By the time we ended the night, they looked happier than ever.

The newlywed glow is a real thing!! Their love story started with a bold kiss between co-workers hoping to be more. It makes perfect sense that their wedding day carried that same bold, joyful, optimistic energy.

If you are dreaming of a day that feels adventurous, personal, and filled with nostalgia, this vintage-inspired elopement is your sign that Vegas might be the perfect place to make it happen.
