There’s something so timeless about a vintage car and a Vegas elopement. Shelby and John’s wedding day brought all the cool retro vibes you could dream of. Their day started with an intimate ceremony at the iconic Sure Thing Chapel. This is one of my favorite places to shoot! The pink walls, vintage décor, and quick “I do’s” set the tone for a fun elopement!
After tying the knot, we took some iconic photos inside the chapel.
In the mint plastered bathroom, the photo booth and under the cherub hanging. Shelby rocked a white mini dress with a veil and heart-shaped purse, while John kept it classic in all black with Vans. Together, they were the perfect mix of rock-and-roll and romance.
After they were officially NEWLYWEDS (!!) we stepped outside to take photos with the cherry-red vintage car.
Every photo from their day screamed Vegas cool. And as a Las Vegas wedding photographer, I was here for it. Between the chrome details of the vintage car, the palm trees in the background, and that iconic Lucky Motel sign… the whole scene felt like a page out of an old postcard. They shared a kiss behind the wheel, the red leather interior framing them perfectly. And yes, it was just as fun as it looks.
From there, we explored Fremont Street for the rest of their portraits.
Neon signs lit up the night as they strolled hand in hand past tattoo shops, bright marquees, and old-school bars.
When Shelby first inquired with me on my website, she told me their story and their vision:
“We met online and have been together going on 4 years. We are hoping for a short and sweet Vegas elopement! I want cute neon somewhat vintage vibes. I would love pictures outside with the tattoo shop next door too!”
Looking through their photos, I think we were able to capture what she wanted!! I love making my couple’s visions a reality. Truly one of my favorite parts of my job.
I adore elopements like Shelby and John’s. It’s proof you can throw out every rule and still end up with a day that feels so right. It doesn’t have to be grand or traditional to be unforgettable. All you really need is a killer outfit, your favorite person, and maybe a vintage car to top it all off.
