What It’s Like to Work With an Associate | Las Vegas Wedding Photographer

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to work with an associate? As a Las Vegas wedding photographer who has shot hundreds of couple’s most special moments. I know how important it is to feel secure and safe with your media team. You have worked so hard to create this day, and you want the memories to be documented forever.

And you might see the words “associate photographer” and think… wait, so are you not going to be there? Which is a totally fair question! I’ve had the exciting task of adding a few associates to my team over the last couple years. But, I thought it would be really helpful to dive into the nitty-gritty of it all. What does it look like to have Katelyn Faye Photo team member shoot your big day?

First things first: what is an associate photographer?

This is a photographer who works under my brand. Other than the day of the elopement, you work with me the whole time! You’ll get every single bit of guidance, location help, timeline building, pro tips, vendor recs. The same good stuff I give to every single one of couples.

I also do alllll the editing, so your final gallery will be totally congruent with the images you see in my portfolio. I am still very hands-on through every part of the process. My team just allows me to work with more amazing clients as a Las Vegas wedding photographer.

Now, I am picky when it comes to who i have work under my brand! If I’m going to tell you what it’s like to work with an associate, I want you to know this too!

I only choose photographers who are:

  • Skilled and experienced
  • Fun and easy to be around
  • Naturally great at capturing candid, joy-filled moments
  • And most importantly, care just as much as I do about giving you an unforgettable experience.

It’s really important to me that working with a different photographer on your big day doesn’t feel any different for you. I make sure everything is aligned, and that your day-of photographer genuinely vibes with my brand. This way, your elopement feels like you from start to finish.

I’ve been able to say “heck yes” to more amazing bonus couples by expanding my team, and it’s been such a cool way to help more people have meaningful, stress-free elopements. (Can you tell that’s what I’m passionate about!?)

So if you’re wondering whether working with an associate on my team is the right fit, just know: you’re still getting the full experience.

The only thing different is who’s holding the camera that day.

Here are some examples of what it’s like to work with an associate!
