This Oahu, Hawaii wedding at Loulu Palm was a DREAM to be a part of! Just wait until you see their sunset wedding photos on the beach! This past September I traveled with my friend Amber Garrett to Hawaii to be her second photographer for Alyssa and Logan’s beach wedding.

Amber and I got to Hawaii a few days before the wedding day for some vacation time! We spent time in Waikiki hiking, visiting farmers’ markets, attending a local festival, and soaking up time in the ocean!

Loulu Palm Wedding Day

On the day of the wedding we drove up to the venue which is about an hour away from Waikiki. It was a beautiful sunny day! Alyssa got ready in the bridal suite at the venue, while Logan got ready at a nearby hotel. Before the ceremony, we did their first look outside in front of all the lush greenery and palm trees. After living in the desert of Las Vegas for the past few years, I was obsessed with all the green! It was refreshing to photograph in an area with lots of color!

Before the ceremony, Alyssa and Logan took part in the Hawaiian wedding tradition of honoring their parents by presenting them each with a lei. Then they had their wedding ceremony with the ocean as their backdrop. After the ceremony, Alyssa and Logan enjoyed cocktail hour and yard games with their friends and family for a while. As the sun started to set, we headed out to the beach for sunset portraits. Loulu has a strip of beach all to itself which makes photos at this venue so easy and gives a sense of privacy.

Their reception took place outside on the lawn with dinner and dancing underneath a clear tent filled with the warm glow of string lights. It was gorgeous and is the ultimate example of an outdoor wedding reception!

Oahu Wedding Venue: LouLu Palm

Loulu Palm is a wedding venue on Oahu with a private beach and open lawn. The venue is on the north shore of Oahu Island and is far away from the busier areas near Honolulu and Waikiki. The North Shore of Oahu is a popular surfing destination and is home to several surf competitions. 

The venue gets its name from all the Loulu palm trees growing on the property! The venue features a large vintage Hawaiian plantation home tucked away from the beach and is where Alyssa got ready. Loulu is an agricultural property with growing fruit trees and gardens that grow varieties of fruits and vegetables. Loulu is a dream destination venue in Hawaii and it was incredible to be a part of Alyssa and Logan’s wedding day here!
