When you think about eloping in Las Vegas, the first thing that comes to mind are likely a tiny chapel, Elvis, and bright lights. That might not be your vibe, and that’s okay! Maybe you’re looking for something more on the nature-y side for your elopement. Las Vegas has a lot to offer in that area, too! Here are 5 options that I love if you’re looking for a more adventurous way to elope in Las Vegas!
*keep in mind, these locations may require a permit fee!
Red Rock has multiple location options for your elopement, all featuring stunning backdrops. After your ceremony, explore a little further for some golden hour portraits. Red Rock is less than 30 minutes away from the strip, so it’s a convenient location for your out of town guests who are also looking forward to a fun, Vegas weekend!
If I have a couple looking for something that resembles a forest in Vegas, I take them to Mt Charleston! There are so many different locations on Mt Charleston that would make for a gorgeous elopement. If you plan to have more than just a few guests, check out the Retreat on Charleston Peak!
Valley of Fire is about an hour drive from Las Vegas, but worth the trip. At VoF, you can get married at one of two spots: The Seven Sisters area or the Visitor Center area. Both provide amazing scenery for both your ceremony and portraits. In addition, although these are the only two spots that your ceremony can be held, there are several other locations in the park that can be used for portraits! Valley of Fire only grants wedding permits to certain elopement companies who hold the proper permits and insurance, so keep that in mind.
The Seven Magic Mountains (pictured at the top of this post!) are a hidden gem in the desert here in Las Vegas. It’s the perfect photo spot, giving desert vibes with a pop of color! The Seven Magic Mountains are such a fun backdrop for your ceremony and portraits! Don’t hate me, but I prefer sunrise at this location. It’s an early alarm, but between the direction of the light and avoiding the crowds, it’s worth it! Don’t worry, if the crowd isn’t a dealbreaker for you, sunset is great too, and it’s a beautiful spot for night portraits!
I love a clean, open backdrop, and the Dry Lake Bed delivers. The El Dorado lake bed is the perfect place to elope in Vegas if you love the simplicity of the desert. If you’d like, you can dress it up! Add a backdrop, some florals, maybe a rug for a boho look – or keep all the focus on you two. The cracks in the ground are great for unique detail shots and portraits!
