What I want to shoot in 2026 has been on my mind for a while now. Every new year feels like a reset. It’s a blank page to really create something new. So when the end of December rolls around, it gives me an opportunity to reflect. A chance to dream a little bigger than the year before. And a chance to name the things that truly light me up creatively, which I have found is really important in the artistic process.
So here it is. A little wish list. Some intention setting. And a whole lot of excitement for what’s ahead.
One thing I want more of this year is full day elopements. Not just the ceremony. Not just the portraits. I want the whole story. Listen, I love all the elopements I photograph. I love the excitement and the whirlwind. But there’s something so special about the getting ready moments. The quiet nerves. The laughter before you head out the door. Even if you’re “just” eloping at one of the chapels, there’s so much beauty in the hours before and after. I love being there early. Hanging out. Capturing those in-between moments that make the day feel real. I would love to do more of that in 2026.

I’m also calling in more full day weddings.
Do you notice a theme? I love what I do, and I want more of it. I consider this a good problem to have 😉
I mostly photograph smaller elopements these days, but weddings still have my heart. They always have. I love the details. The timeline puzzle. The teamwork it takes to make the day flow. I love watching vendors work together like a well-oiled machine. And honestly, a really good DJ can still break me out dancing. Weddings are so creatively fulfilling to me as a Las Vegas wedding photographer. They’re fun. And I’d love to photograph a few more this year.

What I Want to Shoot in 2026
Another big goal is a new destination. This past year, I had the chance to second-shoot a cliffside wedding in Ireland. It was unreal. I came home feeling inspired and hungry for more. There are so many places still on my list. I would love to check another one off in 2026. If you’re dreaming of something far away, I miiiiiight already be packing in my head.

I’m also hoping to do my own headshot sessions once a month.
This one is more of a personal goal. I’m trying to get in front of the camera more myself (see below!) It’s vulnerable if I’m really honest, but it feels important. I love creating relaxed, easy headshots that actually feel like myself. And it really pushes me creatively, which is really important to me as a photographer!

At the end of the day, this list of what I want to shoot in 2026 is about connection.
It has, and always will be, about storytelling for me. About continuing to grow while staying true to what I love most. If any of this sounds like you, I’d love to talk. All of this dreaming is really just an invitation to create something excited together. Let’s see where this year takes us!
In the meantime, enjoy these beautiful moments I got to capture in 2025!
