I have been WAITING for my chance to shoot an elopement with Hellvis at Sure Thing Chapel!! This day was nothing short of EPIC. And Noah and Alicia: thank you thank you for having such a fun day to photograph. And Hellvis… thank you for being you haha
These two metalheads matched on Tinder in 2022, only to realize they had spent four years attending the same university! I mean, they were taking classes in buildings right next to each other, going to the same concerts, and somehow never meeting. Fate was waiting!!
Once they finally connected, everything lined up easily. Music, travel, and their love for their pets pulled them together fast. So when wedding planning began, they knew a traditional day wasn’t the right fit. A Vegas weekend with their favorite people and a ceremony full of personality sounded perfect. Sign me up, I felt so lucky to photograph this day!
Their elopement with Hellvis was amazing.
Like I said, I have been waiting forever for the chance to photograph a day just like this, and it was even better than I imagined. Hellvis came out in a sparkling red sequin outfit, dramatic makeup, and the kind of over-the-top charisma that instantly sets the tone. I feel like you can HEAR him from these photographs. From the moment he walked out, he had everyone laughing and cheering.
Alicia and Noah matched the vibe flawlessly.
She wore a black mini dress with lace details and tall platform boots that looked made for Vegas. He rocked a black leather jacket covered in patches and pins, paired with a striped shirt for that effortlessly metal look. Their all-black outfits popped beautifully against the pink velvet curtains and glowing heart marquee inside the chapel.
After they said I do, they had another surprise up their sleeves. A burlesque performer joined the party! It took the whole experience to another level, and was so quintessential “vegas”. The dancer sparkled in red, moved through the room dazzling everyone. The guests were tossing dollar bills in celebration. It was wild and playful.
I loved the break from wedding tradition… your day is supposed to be FUN! And that’s what these two focused on.
After the ceremony, we took the iconic Sure Thing portraits, (and Hellvis made sure to photo bomb every singe one). First in the photo booth for their “we just got married” snapshots. And then in the mint bathroom, where they pretended to choke Hellvis with the rotary phone and he played it up. We also stepped outside for portraits with the “Til Death” hearse.
This day had all the fun vibes of a Vegas chapel day, with a little extra personality and heat. It was joyful, bold, and so perfectly them.
If you are dreaming of your own Elopement with Hellvis, let this be your sign. (And sign me up!) Lean into the fun. Wear the outfit. Bring your people. And make your day exactly what you want it to be.
