Gayle and Ian came all the way from the UK to get married at Sure Thing Chapel here in Las Vegas. When they first reached out, they were feeling hesitant to book vendors from so far away. However, we really clicked and were able to quell their fears before their elopement day.
What’s so incredible to me is that the happy couple has been together for over 20 years!! They met in high school and have been together ever since. Talk about a love story!! And also, what’s the secret? Because that’s really incredible! I think you can totally tell how much love and joy they have for one another in every single photo. The pure happiness really shines through!
Ceremony at Sure Thing Chapel
A great example of how fun this day was is in Ian’s vows. He wrote a sweet but hilarious poem to read to Gayle as his vows. Such a clever way to show you care. As a Las Vegas wedding photographer, I’ve seen all kinds of vows and speeches but you can tell by the photos that these vows were extra special! Their ceremony was such an incredible display of love for one another.
I love this venue as well because of all the fun details. The photo booth, all the Elvis’s hidden into the decor, and, of course, the iconic pink heart. Every time I get a change to photograph a couple here, I get so excited because I know it’s going to be perfect.
Celebration on Fremont Street
The biggest celebration detail I have to mention is that they brought their fur babies with them. Ok, not actually because that would’ve been super difficult…but to incorporate them into the wedding day, they brought them in the form of pictures on sticks. I think that’s an adorable way to have your pets with you in spirit on your elopement day.
After we celebrated with champagne at the Carousel Bar, we popped over to Evel Pie where pizza and cake were waiting! If Evel Pie seems familiar to you, maybe it’s because I was just there for Courtney and John’s wedding celebration there. Gayle and Ian’s friends who joined them were so supportive and made the day that much more perfect!
Seeing how everything came together at Sure Thing Chapel for Gayle and Ian’s elopement was truly such a joy. It makes me so happy to see such love in a couple. I’m so thankful they trusted me from so far away to help make their day as amazing as it was.
