Kristie and Leroy knew they wanted to have a retro inspired elopement in Las Vegas. I was so honored they chose me to document the whole thing as their wedding photographer! The entire day was SO fun. From the ceremony at Sure Thing Chapel (one of my fav venues in NV!) to the epic record store adventure afterwards. Their day was full of all the things they loved.
When I asked Kristie about their story, this is what she had to say:
Hi! We’re your classic tinder success story. We are the proud parents of a black cat and two wild labs. I’m an avid record collector and Leroy is a lover of all things Houston.
I loved that synopsis of them! They were full of laughter and fun. And the most laid-back couple you can imagine. Kristie picked a white mini dress for her wedding, with small sparkle details that brought the “bridal” element. The feather boa sleeveless trim really brought out that retro inspired elopement vibe too. And don’t get me started on her sneakers! Yes please!! Leroy complimented her perfectly with his gray suit, dusty pink tie and unique feather boutonniere. They just looked SO good.
These lovebirds tied the knot at the Sure Thing Chapel, and we took newlywed portraits in all the iconic spots: the teal bathroom, old-timey Photo Booth, with the heart records, and under cupid. You really can’t miss those spots if you’re getting married there!
Kristie left me the kindest review, and I wanted to share it here too:
Katelyn was absolutely incredible. She was such a calming presence and knew exactly how to make us feel comfortable. I was beyond anxious and Katelyn welcomed us with hugs and knew exactly what to do. She remembered our record collection and made sure we got photos at the record store down the street. It was like our best friend that has known us for years was taking our photos. Our photos are something I will gush over for the rest of time. They are exactly what I imagined. Sneak peak photos came in ultra fast and we loved them. I cannot express how thankful we are that she was apart of our day❤️
Kristie and Leroy: thank you for choosing me to capture your day!!
