You know it’s a good day when I get to photograph another elopement at Sure Thing Chapel! And as a bonus, Holly and Damien were from the Midwest. As a Midwest girl myself, I instantly clicked with them.
When Holly reached out, she shared the sweetest backstory. She said that she and Damien are best friends, which is the best foundation for a great marriage. They went to school together and always had what she called a “weird connection.” Just a month before Holly went to England for a year and a half, they met up and finally got together. Talk about timing, right?! They survived long distance and are more in love than ever!
Their big day was all sorts of awesome. Holly rocked this stunning short wedding dress with sparkles and feathers (hello, Vegas vibes!), while Damian looked dapper in a pink suit. They said their “I dos” at Sure Thing Chapel, and let me tell you, it was just perfect for them.
After the ceremony, we explored Fremont Street for a bit. We popped into a local record store with all the retro vibes, and I caught the sweetest moment of them sharing a kiss among the vinyl. We ended the night with drinks at Atomic Liquor, because why not celebrate in true Vegas style?
One of the great things about hiring a photographer for your elopement is that we have a lot of freedom to keep things laid back. I am always down to photograph a couple hanging out somewhere downtown! Some of the best photos are when a couple wants to stop in for a quick drink or bite at a local spot. We have lots of fun just hanging out and getting some pretty great pictures!
If you’re thinking of eloping in Vegas, take a page from Holly and Damian’s elopement at Sure Thing Chapel. Keep it true to you, add in some local flair, and don’t be afraid to grab a drink (or explore a record store) along the way. Trust me, those unplanned moments often make for the best photos and memories.
Ready to plan your own unique Vegas elopement? Hit me up! I’d love to help you create a day that’s as special as your love story.
