I'm an elopement and wedding photographer based in Las Vegas, Nevada!

Meet Katelyn

Your wedding day is a big deal, and you don’t want to miss a single, incredible moment. But do you really need a second shooter to capture every juicy detail of your big day? As a Las Vegas wedding photographer, I’m here to break it down for you so that you can decide what’s right for YOU! Here are some reasons you should consider getting a second.

You want multiple perspectives of the same moments.

Your wedding photographer can only be in one place at a time. If you really don’t want to miss a single detail of every moment, and you want to see things from different perspectives, you’ll want a second shooter. They can help capture things from different angles or locations to make sure you’ve got every moment documented in splendid detail!

You have a large guest list.

The bigger the wedding, the more you probably want to consider adding a second. If your guest list is around 150 or more, I highly recommend one! There is obviously a lot more to capture with a lot more people. You’ll want all the help you can get to make sure you get Aunt Myrtle’s sick dance moves and your flower girl busting a move on the dance floor at the same time.

You want to get ready at different locations.

I can only be in one place at a time. If you and your partner want to get ready in different locations, and you want to get both getting ready processes, you’ll need a second.

You just want more photos!

This is such a special day and one that means a lot. If you want to relive every moment through all the pictures possible, a second shooter is for you! Twice the photographers for all the images!

You may not need a second if…

You’re having a small wedding or intimate elopement.

For smaller events, and especially elopements, one photographer is usually enough. We can document every moment of your day without needing to be in multiple places or capturing lots of people.

If you still want to have more coverage for your smaller wedding or elopement, you may want to consider a content creator instead of a second shooter. A content creator will follow you around to shoot videos for social media and more casually capture your day for more immediate posting purposes. These are less heirloom images, and more documentary-style coverage to make sure you don’t miss a thing!

Whether your wedding is big and extravagant, or you’re opting for an intimate elopement, I know that documenting your day is so important. It’s all about choosing what’s right for you and your partner. Second shooter, content creator, or just one photographer, I would love to chat with you about how to help you capture every moment of your big day. Reach out, and let’s find the right fit for you!
