So you just got married in Vegas. Yay!!! First of all, congrats! But… now what? As a long time wedding photographer in this area, I wanted to share some ideas of what you could do after your Las Vegas elopement!
My first, most important tip?? Don’t go back to your hotel and call it a night. YOU’RE IN VEGAS!!! You just got married! Put the champagne on ice and keep the party going.
Whether you want to keep things low-key and explore some swanky bars. Or turn your elopement into a full Vegas adventure, there are plenty of ways to celebrate after you say “I do.”
First things first: Go get something to eat
You probably haven’t eaten enough on the day-of your wedding. There are a lot of details to track and jitters to feel! You’re probably going to be hungry.
Vegas has everything from a quick slice of pizza to a fancy multi-course dinner. And honestly, I love the idea of making food part of your wedding day photos.
Grab a slice. Hit In-N-Out like this couple did! Get dressed up and go to a fancy steakhouse! Whatever sounds like fun to you.
You don’t need a traditional wedding reception to have a wedding dinner.

Two: Visit the Neon Museum
If you love old Vegas, you need to put the Neon Museum on your list.
You can wander through a collection of vintage Las Vegas signs and get a little glimpse into the city’s past. It’s colorful, weird, nostalgic, and absolutely perfect for photos.
And here’s a fun one: the museum occasionally offers midnight portrait hours. Yep,midnight.
It’ll be late, but it’s Vegas. You can sleep tomorrow, I promise!
- What it is: An outdoor collection of historic Las Vegas signs (see below 🙂
- Why go: Vintage Vegas nostalgia and a unique photo backdrop!! It’s iconic!
- Bonus: Check for available midnight portrait hours if you want an after-hours experience

What to Do After Your Las Vegas Elopement? Idea Number Three: Head to Fremont Street
If you got married downtown at one of the chapels, Fremont Street is probably just a short drive away.
This is the original Las Vegas strip. It’s full of neon lights, old-school casinos, colorful signs, people watching, and plenty of places to eat and grab a drink.
Basically, it’s Vegas at its most wonderfully chaotic and nostalgic.
You literally can just go walk around. Take some photos. Pop into a casino. Find a cocktail. Grab a late-night snack! You don’t even need a plan, you can just go wander and you’ll have the best time.

Last But Not Least: See a Vegas show
If you want to make your elopement feel like a full Vegas experience, go see a show.
There’s something happening every night. Cirque du Soleil, magic, comedy, music, burlesque, and plenty more.
Pick something that sounds fun and make a whole night out of it. Wear your wedding attire for extra special attention and fun!!

After Your Vegas Elopement, Keep the Adventure Going
One of the best things about getting married in Vegas is that your wedding day doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s.
Maybe your perfect night is pizza and the Neon Museum. Maybe it’s a fancy dinner followed by a show. Or maybe you just want to wander Fremont Street until midnight and see where the night takes you.
There’s no right way to celebrate.
