If you’re dreaming about a Las Vegas wedding that feels a little weird, a little moody, and completely YOU, this one is going to be your kind of day. Gabby and Scott brought their vintage, alternative style to Vegas and absolutely nailed it. Hellvis at Sure Thing Chapel? Hell yah. And yes, their day also included a trip to one of Vegas’ most iconic dive bars after their ceremony. Basically??? Vegas perfection.
Hellvis at Sure Thing Chapel: Should You Do It? (YES).
Gabby and Scott got married at Sure Thing Chapel, surrounded by pink velvet curtains, the iconic giant glowing heart, and allllll the retro Vegas charm you could want.
Gabby looked incredible in a fitted lace wedding dress with off-the-shoulder sleeves and a long veil. I loved how it showed off her tattoos! Scott looked every bit the classic groom in a black suit with a black shirt and tie, but added his own personality with statement designer loafers.
And then… there was Hellvis.
Oh boy, was there Hellvis.
None of their guests knew their officiant would be a wild Elvis-inspired surprise. So when he made his grand entrance in full red sequins and dramatic makeup, everyone was surprised. It was the best, honestly. I’m still thinking about their faces and the laughter that ensued. The ceremony was everything that was fun and unexpected! I loved every minute!

They met at the first barbershop Gabby worked at.
She was dressed up as Heath Ledger as the Joker in the nurse costume (IYKYK) for a Halloween celebration. In her words: “a very embarrassing way to meet a very handsome man” haha. OBVIOUSLY it all worked out, because these two tied the knot in the best Vegas way possible.
They told me when they inquired that they wanted their Las Vegas wedding to feel moodyyyy, vintage, and completely them. And they absolutely nailed it with this day with Hellvis at Sure Thing Chapel.
After the ceremony, we had to take advantage of the photo booth. Gabby and Scott played around with their guests, captured some hilarious newlywed photos, and soaked up the moment. (Do you think Hellvis butted into the photos? Because yes, yes he did).
When we went outside, these two broke a (prop) bottle over Hellvis’ head and it was so funny I had to create a GIF out of it (see below!!)
From there, we headed outside into the bright Las Vegas sunshine for some downtown portraits.
Their bride and groom fits looked so good against the gritty streets, old signage, and vintage Vegas architecture. I love a good “we just got married” vibe against the backdrop of this city!

A Night at Atomic Liquor
After portraits, Gabby and Scott met back up with their guests at Atomic Liquor to kick off the rest of their celebration. They grabbed drinks, hung out at the bar, and leaned into the laid-back date-night energy they love.
From meeting at a barbershop to getting married with a surprise Hellvis at Sure Thing Chapel, Gabby and Scott’s day was weird, romantic, hilarious, and completely theirs.
If that isn’t a Vegas wedding, I don’t know what is.
And if you’re dreaming up a day with this much personality, I hope you’ll reach out! I’d love to be your photographer!
