Back to The Future Inspired Elopement (Yes, DeLorean and all!) | Las Vegas Wedding Photographer

Have you ever dreamed about having your favorite movie included in your wedding? What if it’s Back to The Future? Did you know you can take pictures with The DeLorean? (!!!) I’ve been SO excited to show you this creative, visionary and FUN day that I had with Kylah and Hang for their Las Vegas elopement.

When these two originally reached out and pitched their idea for their day at The Little White Chapel and Fremont Street, the way I immediately knew it was going to be amazing.

Kylah and Hang grew up in Hong Kong, met at work back in 2014, and spent years navigating a long distance relationship after Kylah moved to Vancouver. Which meant, their wedding wasn’t just about saying “I do.” It marked the beginning of finally living in the same city. Hang moved to Vancouver shortly after this day!

That alone made the day worth celebrating, imo!!

They’re both artists in every sense of the word. Kylah is a tattoo artist, and Hang is a singer, director, and producer. So it only made sense that their wedding day would be filled with creative, personal touches. As a Las Vegas wedding photographer, I was so inspired to collaborate with them.

A Little White Chapel Never Goes Out of Style

The day began at the iconic Little White Wedding Chapel, one of those places that instantly feels like Vegas in the truest sense of the word. Kylah wore an effortlessly cool off-the-shoulder mini wedding dress paired with white cowboy boots and a simple head scarf instead of a traditional veil. Her colorful tattoos peeked through every photo, making the whole look feel bold, and completely her. Hang kept things equally stylish in a black suit with a loose tie that perfectly matched the laid back vibe.

The ceremony itself took place beneath the famous blue canopy, while they sat on the iconic pink Cadillac! Family facetimed in from far away and these two were just so giddy to start their lives together.

Coolest (and most meaningful) wedding day activities ever!

Back at their hotel, these two broke out the tattoo gear and Kylah got to work!

Instead of exchanging traditional wedding bands, Kylah tattooed their wedding rings onto each other’s fingers. Watching her carefully create something they would wear forever was one of the sweetest moments of the entire day. You know that you’re making a vow, but it was really to see a visual representation of the promise they just made to each other.

Here’s me manifesting working with more tattoo artists soon, because I loved this wedding day idea!

Are you ready? It’s time to see the DeLorean dreams come true

If you know Back to the Future, then you already understand why this next stop was so special.

When they first inquired with me, they told me that Hang’s favorite movie was Back to The Future, and they wanted to have some fun & create cool portraits.

So! They rented a fully decked-out DeLorean time machine for portraits near Fremont Street!

Between the gullwing doors, glowing dashboard, and movie-perfect details, it felt like stepping onto a film set. Hang was jumping for joy and we put our creative brains together to come up with some really vibey portraits for them!

Fremont Street Was the Perfect Ending

As the sun started to dip lower, we wandered through Fremont Street a bit after the DeLorean adventure. The Vintage neon signs, casino lights, and old Vegas charm just magnified the love, happiness and joy these two were feeling. Not only were they OFFICIALLY official… they were also about to move in together and share their lives side by side at last.

This day was creative. It was unconventional. SO full of heart. Exactly the kind of wedding day I love documenting.

And honestly, I don’t think a DeLorean has ever looked more at home than it did on this unforgettable Las Vegas wedding adventure.
